My name is Tom Stewart and if you’ve gotten this far I’m sorry I have over ten years of experience with Linux and Cloud Administration, DevOps/SRE, Infrastructure as Code, and Python Programming. I have worked with every type of company, small 20 person start up like cults, fast-growing medium-sized industry disruptors, to multi-national behemoths. On the side, I have written 3 novels and recorded over 100 songs. With this blog I hope to bring to light some of my adventures, and provide a unique slice of life into my experiences with story telling, music, and technology.

I’ve made the decision to split my digital resume from my digital blog. The resume is basically a few pages that infrequently change, and this is in conflict with the nature of a blog. So I’m splitting the work. The resume site will remain as is, with but a single link change to forward folks to this new blog.

To make both my historical posts and new content faster to produce, I’ve since learned about these neat little technologies called static site generators. In essence, after the initial setup, make it much easier to add content and publish quicker without worrying about links and formatting, just words and content.

  • This blog is created with Hugo, a static site generator written in go
  • The Theme is slightly adapted from hello-friend-ng
  • This blog site is hosted in AWS S3, and distributed via AWS Cloudfront
  • This site is for fun and personal therapy.
